About Nā Lima Collective

Nā Lima Collective was born from a simple truth:
the hands shape the life.

Founded on Maui by Kehau Akau — mother, maker, farmer, and multidisciplinary creative — Nā Lima Collective is a living studio rooted in craft, culture, and everyday island life.

“Nā lima” means the hands — the ones that sew, harvest, string, press, plant, build, and raise. The collective exists to honor that work. The visible and the invisible labor. The artistry found in daily life.

A Creative Village

Nā Lima Collective is a curated lifestyle concept — part general store, part working studio. Under one thoughtful roof you’ll find:

  • Small-batch garments shaped by movement and place

  • Reimagined and archival vintage

  • Locally grown florals and handmade lei

  • Botanicals and plant-based ritual goods

  • Limited-run objects made with intention

Each offering is connected by process — designed, grown, sewn, or assembled with care on Maui.

Rooted in Practice

This is not trend-driven production.
It is rhythm-based creation.

Collections and goods are released in measured runs, shaped by season, capacity, and story. The work is influenced by tides and trails, school mornings and market days, land and sea — the contrast that defines Hawaiʻi.

Nā Lima Collective values longevity over speed, depth over volume, and meaning over excess.

More Than a Brand

At its heart, Nā Lima Collective is about reinvesting in people, place, and passion.

It is a space where creativity and livelihood meet.
Where heritage and modern island life coexist.
Where handwork becomes legacy.

This collective is an invitation —
to slow down, choose intentionally, and support work made with purpose.

From our hands to yours,
mahalo for being part of the story.
